Term Comment
Contract Name The assigned name that you give to a Contract. This can be the name of the signed artist/label but can be named unrelated to any signees.
Licensee The party/person whose content has been licensed to the licensor (other party). The Licensee is usually the artist or smaller label in the agreement.
Licensor The party/person who has licensed the content provided by the licensee (other party). The Licensor is usually the label or the larger company in the agreement.
Contract Type The category of Contract that is being listed. Selection is Profit Share, Royalty & Publishing which all trigger different data requirements such as rights % splits.
Main Contact The main intended Contact name for the Contract. This box will be autofilled into/draw from Contacts
Account's Email Address The main intended email address associated with the Contract & Contact Name.
Option Description The identification of existence of any custom conditions arising from the Contract as described within the Contract proper.
Option Trigger The prompt that would activate the custom option, allowing the custom conditions associated to the option to come into effect.
Option Expiry The provocation which would see the custom condition to no longer apply once prompted.
Files All of the relevant digital documents associated and/or pertinent to the Contract - including the Contract Scan/Digital File itself.
Contract Date The stated date of the contract as appears within the Contract proper. This can differ from the Rights Start Date but is often the same date.
Rights Start Date The date agreed as the day the Contract and the associated rights ownership/holdership agreement comes into effect.
Rights Expiry Date The date agreed as the day the Contract and the associated rights ownership/holdership agreement ceases to apply.
Sell Off End Date This is normally a set period after the main term of the contract has expired, in which the selling of related stock is permitted.
Accounting Period The frequency in which accounting of the contracts' associated catalog use is provided to the client.
Within No. of Days The time period which separates each accounting statement from the last/next statement.
Audit Frequency The regularity of auditing of content/accounting as agreed in the associated contract
Advance The amount that a record label/publisher has paid to invest in the artist/band as pre-project funding.
Advance Paid? Simply choose yes / no to track if any advance has been paid, if no then it will appear on the Dashboard to remind you it's due.
Product Commitment Total amount of pieces of music to be provided as per the agreed contract.
Exclusivity The indication if the Contract refers in anyway to an Exclusive agreement, or if alternatively a non-Exclusive agreement has been reached.
Percentage Split (Profit Share) The percentage (%) split between the licensee and Licensor as agreed in the contract. Enter the Licensee split amount here.
(Approvals) Single Choices The identification who has the final say on what singles are chosen for separate release from the main release project, as set out in the Contract.
(Approvals) Possible Remixes/Re-Edits The identification who has the final say on who remixes music from the release project and which will be released during the release project, as set out in the Contract.
(Approvals) Syncs The identification who has the final say on what sync opportunities are accepted for usage from the main release project, as set out in the Contract.
Digital Rights A simple Yes/No answer regarding Digital Rights and if they are included as part of the contract.
Digital Rate If marked Yes, the % amount the Licensor is entitled to of the Digital Rights.
Physical Rights A simple Yes/No answer regarding Physical Rights and if they are included as part of the contract.
Physical Rate If marked Yes, the % amount the Licensor is entitled to of the Physical Rights.
Sync Rights A simple Yes/No answer regarding Sync Rights and if they are included as part of the contract.
Sync Rate If marked Yes, the % amount the Licensor is entitled to of the Sync Rights.
NR Rights A simple Yes/No answer regarding Neighbouring Rights and if they are included as part of the contract.
NR Rate If marked Yes, the % amount the Licensor is entitled to of the Neighbouring Rights.
Comp Rights A simple Yes/No answer regarding Composition Rights and if they are included as part of the contract.
Comp Rate If marked Yes, the % amount the Licensor is entitled to of the Composition Rights.
Mechanical Rate The percentage (%) amount the Licensor is entitled to of the Mechanical Rights.
Performance Rate The percentage (%) amount the Licensor is entitled to of the Performance Rights.
Cover Rate The percentage (%) amount the Licensor is entitled to of the Cover Rights.
Sheet Music Rate The percentage (%) amount the Licensor is entitled to of the Sheet Music Rights.
Other Rate The percentage (%) amount the Licensor is entitled to of a custom field assigned Rights.
Composition Type The type of recording the contract refers to. This can be as explicitly referred to in the Contract or just a judgement made by either party as to what kind of recording the song(s) are.
Artist Name The Artist name as they appear within the Sync Contract that the information refers to.
Client Name The Client name as they appear within the Sync Contract that the information refers to.
Brand Name The Brand name as they appear within the Sync Contract that the information refers to.
Fee Info The written detail of what the agreed Fee is and what terms apply within the Contract.
Nature of Use The selection of which media the recording is contracted to appear on,
Nature of Use Comment The comment box for the Nature of Use of the Recording. Any additional details or conditions should be entered here.
Media Type The selection of what media format the recording is contracted to be presented on.
